It is Giro Rosa time again and the 25th anniversary edition at that! The Giro Rosa is the Tour de France equivalent for Women. Albeit not the same. The UCI allow the women to race for 10 days….and sadly, we can’t watch it live. But, what you can do, is get glued to your phones and follow the Twitter feeds of the cyclists and management. You can follow the race live on various social media outlets, here is a list compiled by Pro Women’s Cycling. Here is a start list compiled by VeloFocus, it includes all the Twitter and Instagram links to the riders profiles – making it soooo easy for you to follow them and their teams.
Here are some of my favorites to follow … Chloe Hosking, Lauren Kitchen, Shara Gillow, Loes Gunnewijk, Melissa Hoskin,s Emma Johansson, Jessie Maclean, Valentina Scandolara, Amanda Spratt, Katrin Garfoot, Chantal Blaak, Tiffany Cromwell, Loren Rowney, Carmen Small, Evelyn Stevens, Tayler Wiles, Emma Pooley, Marianne Vos, Peta Mullens, Ellen van Dijk, Giorgia Bronzini, Rochelle Gilmore…ha, my list looks more like the start list!
I’ve wasted my morning following all the riders competing. You should waste your morning following these women too. Show your support to the biggest women’s race in the world.
It starts on the 4th of July in Italy. Get glued to your iPhone screen.
